FAQ

  • What do we mean by healthy plate?
A healthy plate is a way of visualizing the proportions of different types of foods that you should include in a balanced and nutritious meal. It is based on the idea that a healthy diet should consist of a variety of foods from all food groups, in appropriate amounts, to provide the nutrients that your body needs to function optimally. Here are the key components of a healthy plate: Vegetables: Vegetables should make up about half of your plate. Choose a variety of colorful vegetables, as they are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Grains: Grains, such as whole wheat, brown rice, or quinoa, should make up about a quarter of your plate. Choose whole grains whenever possible, as they are higher in fiber and nutrients than refined grains. Protein: Protein should make up about a quarter of your plate. Choose lean protein sources, such as chicken, fish, beans, or tofu. By following these guidelines, you can create a healthy, balanced plate that is rich in nutrients and helps you meet your daily nutritional needs.
  • What is intermittent fasting/ eating window?
Eating window refers to the time period during which you consume your daily food and beverages. Some people follow an eating window as a way to control their food intake and manage their weight. One popular eating window is the 16/8 method, in which you eat during an 8-hour window and fast for the remaining 16 hours. For example, you might eat only between the hours of 12 pm and 8 pm, and then not eat again until 12 pm the next day. This can help to reduce overall calorie intake and may also have other health benefits, such as improving insulin sensitivity and reducing inflammation. It's important to note that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to eating, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's also important to make sure that you are still getting all of the nutrients that your body needs, regardless of the eating window you choose. It's always a good idea to talk to a healthcare provider or a registered dietitian before making any changes to your eating habits. You can also consult our FitCoach.

  • Does it replace need of workout?
Eating a healthy plate, as described above, can be an important part of a healthy lifestyle and can help to support overall health and well-being. However, it is not a substitute for physical activity. Regular physical activity is also an important component of a healthy lifestyle and has numerous benefits, including improving cardiovascular health, strengthening bones and muscles, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. The World Health Organization recommends that adults aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity each week, or a combination of both. This can be achieved through activities such as brisk walking, cycling, swimming, or strength training. In addition to regular physical activity, it's important to also pay attention to other aspects of a healthy lifestyle, such as getting enough sleep, managing stress, and staying hydrated. By adopting a well-rounded approach to health and wellness, you can help to support your overall physical and mental well-being.
